Our collections are central to the academic enterprise of our community, and they are among the very best in the country. Students and faculty place a high priority on the resources we provide to support their learning, teaching and research, and we work with researchers, learners and instructors across the disciplines to ensure they have the information resources they need in the global information realm.
Our local collections include:
- E-resources including 80,000 e-journals containing more than 85,000,000 articles
- More than 3,000,000 physical volumes
- Special collections with a focus on Canadiana and extensive rare book collections, including more than 1,000 books, published between 1475 and 1700
- 11 linear kilometers of archival records, including 3,000,000 images, 300,000 architectural drawings and thousands of sound recordings and moving images From a collection of six volumes, now housed in Special Collections, our physical holdings have grown to include over 2.2 million items.
Many donors choose to support the acquisition of scholarly materials and in doing so inspire current and future generations of scholars to new heights of discovery.
