Black History Month

Black History Month is an opportunity for us all to learn about the many contributions that Black Canadians and their communities have made to this country, and are continuing to make today. This year's theme "The Future Is Now", is a call to action for Canadians to build on the legacy of those who came before us.

In honour of February being Black History Month, we have created a Gallery of Ebooks highlighting Black History that can be accessed at home and a libguide on Black History and STEM! In addition, we are highlighting a selection of important electronic primary source collections available through Queen’s University Library and beyond:

Additional resources are highlighted in the following research guides:

For more information on Black History resources, please consult our research guides and/or contact your librarian

If you have other suggestions for Ebooks to highlight in the gallery, please feel free to email weblaw@queensu.ca. Some books are not available to libraries as ebooks, but we can still use your suggestions to help build a larger guide that encompasses both print and ebooks!
