Expanded Library Chat hours
The library has increased its online Chat spring/summer service hours to support faculty, students and staff who are working remotely during covid-19 restrictions. Chat is part of the Ask Us service, which also includes email support for library research and information needs.
- MON-THU 10am-7pm
- FRI 10am-5pm
- SAT-SUN 12pm-5pm
Chat has been operating for approximately one year, with 97% of users saying they would use this service again. Users have reported a high level of satisfaction with Chat due to the overall convenience and ease of use, along with the rapid response:
This service is such an excellent feature during the uncertain times of COVID 19. The library staff member was extremely helpful and pleasant. They were very understanding of the circumstances and offered the perfect solution. I am very thankful for this opportunity to chat with the library during this time of closure.
This is a great tool! This is my first time using this service. I was having a hard time pulling up reviews for a book and the librarian assisted me by checking the Queen’s library website and google. They were really friendly and did not make me feel stupid for not being able to find what I was looking for.
