Maps and Air Photos Collection to Expand Hours

Post Date:
Oct 14, 2022

Over the past two years during the COVID 19 pandemic the map and air photo collection on the lower level of Joseph S. Stauffer Library has been operating with reduced hours.

With the return of students to campus this fall, Queen’s University Library (QUL) recognizes the renewed demand for access to spaces, collections, and services. QUL is working to meet this demand through the expansion of operating hours of the Maps and Air Photos collection via increased staffing.

We are pleased to announce the library is seeking a Graduate Digitization Projects Intern. Applicants can be from any program of study, with Geography and Planning, Geology and Computer Science preferred. Applicants should demonstrate an interest in/ knowledge of one or more of the following areas: maps and geospatial information, data visualization, programming, or geographic information systems (GIS). Graduate students who wish to learn more and/or apply for this position may do so by logging into Queen’s MyCareer and searching the job title, or job  ID 131174.
