Promoting Improved Representation in Health Science

The Faculty of Health Science is currently featuring an article on their webpage which describes a recent initiative by medical students to improve racial representation across the Health Science curriculum.
Iku Nwosu (Meds’22), Shakira Brathwaite (Meds’21), Aquila Akingbade (Meds’22), and Eric Zhang (Meds’23), along with many other Queens students, have have made progress in making teaching materials more inclusive.
The library is pleased to have played a small role in this student initiative by providing access to VisualDX, a medical image database that is currently the best repository of diverse images.
