Lambo Collection on the History of Medicine

The Lambo Collection on the History of Medicine consists of antiquarian books from the private library of Dr. Thomas Adeoye Lambo, MD., PhD., D.Sc. (1923-2004). Dr. Lambo was a Nigerian scholar and psychiatrist who served as Deputy Director General of the World Health Organization. During the late 70s, Dr. Lambo was a visiting Hannah Professor of History of Medical and Related Sciences at Queen's University. Owing to his connection to the Hannah professorship, Dr. Lambo’s personal library came to Queen’s.
