Seeking Feedback on Database Trial - Fish, Fisheries & Aquatic Biodiversity Worldwide

Post Date:
Feb 20, 2024

The library has access to a 30-day trial of the bibliographic database, Fish, Fisheries & Aquatic Biodiversity Worldwide (FFAB), ending on March 13, 2024. We are looking to get feedback from faculty, staff, researchers and students at the university to help us make an informed decision on whether or not to subscribe.

To access the trial and provide feedback, please see the "Trial Databases" section on the library's databases webpage

FFAB is a bibliographic database (includes abstracts and citation information but links to full text in our own library catalogue) and includes 12 of the world's major fish and fisheries article databases, including FISHLIT, Aquatic Biologic Citations (ABC), Fishing Industry Research Index (FIRI), Fisheries Review, Castell's Nutrition References, Fish Health News, and AQUACULTURE.

Subject coverage includes, but is not limited to:

  • Culture and propagation
  • Diseases
  • Ecology
  • Processing and marketing
  • Fish taxonomy
  • Fisheries
  • Marine mammal research
  • Genetics and behavior
  • Habitat management
  • Marine and freshwater environments
  • Natural history
