The Science Fiction and Fantasy Collection has been part of the Engineering and Science Library since 2006, thanks to a large donation. The collection originally contained over 500 novels, most of which were published in the late twentieth century.
For several years, the Sci-Fi Collection remained as it was when it was donated. However, with new research into the benefits of pleasure reading among post-secondary students, the decision was made in late 2022 to expand the collection. A modest sum of the annual budget now goes toward making the collection more current.
Interested readers can browse the Science Fiction and Fantasy Collection on the first floor (fifth level) of Douglas Library. To recommend a title for purchase, please fill out the Recommend a New Collection Acquisition form.
